Property Management Leaders Honored at Mark of Excellence Awards

The top property management, leasing, maintenance, and industry partners in the region were honored Friday, Dec. 3, with the 2021 Mark of Excellence Awards recognizing outstanding achievements in the rental housing industry. 71 awards in 12 categories were announced at the Southern California Rental Housing Association event held at the Town and Country Hotel in San Diego.

“We honored the best of the best in San Diego, Imperial, and southern Riverside Counties during this particularly difficult year for our industry,” said Alan Pentico, CEO – Southern California Rental Housing Association. “Congratulations to all of the Mark of Excellence Award winners.”

The first-place winners by category include:

Property Manager of the Year

Assistant Property Manager of the Year

Leasing Professional of the Year

Maintenance Supervisor of the Year

Porter of the Year

· John Robinson, H.G. Fenton Company (1-300 units)

Property Management Company of the Year

In addition, two special awards – The Nancy Robertson Service Award and the President’s Award – were presented. The Southern California Rental Housing Association recognized John Modlin of The Phoenix Staffing with The Nancy Robertson Service Award for contributing extraordinary volunteer hours and talent to the industry and SCRHA for more than 20 years.

Recognized with the President’s Award was Todd Brisco of Todd A. Brisco & Associates, for “contributing his time and resources during the past year far beyond the typical standards,” Pentico said.
