Residents Celebrate Mardi Gras At Senior Living Community
Felicita Vida in Escondido held its first-ever Mardi Gras parade.
ESCONDIDO, CA — An Escondido senior living community celebrated Mardi Gras last week with its first-ever Mardi Gras parade.
Residents in Felicita Vida's assisted living community and Memory Care program wore beads and masks while they marched down hallways to classic New Orleans celebration music.
"The first annual Mardi Gras parade at Felicita Vida is a fun example of the excellent activity program we provide for our active residents," Felicita Vida executive director Kim Malaspina told Patch. "Keeping the Felicita Vida community engaged and entertained is one way we support the mind, body and soul of each resident whether they are in assisted living or our award-winning Memory Care program."
