Rider Seriously Injured After Scooter Hits Parked Car

A man riding a seated scooter is in the hospital after he lost control and hit a parked car in North Clairemont.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A man riding a seated scooter is in the hospital Friday after he lost control and hit a parked car in North Clairemont.

The man, 48, was traveling south on the 4600 block of Pocahontas Avenue when, for reasons unknown, he swerved and slid into a legally parked vehicle Friday morning, according to police logs. The San Diego Police Department reported the accident around 1:45 a.m.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
