Roadrunner​ With Lizard: Photos Of The Day

SAN DIEGO, CA — Patch reader Kim Johnson captured these photos of a roadrunner with a lizard at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

"On a recent trip to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park we were resting at a table when a roadrunner popped up out of a canyon with his lunch in his beak," Johnson said. "He posed for us so that we could get out a camera and record the event — then quickly disappeared from sight."
