SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego is one of the best places to raise a family, according to a new study.

The personal finance website WalletHub looked at the best and worst places to raise a family, and America's Finest City ranked as the eighth-best place in the country and the fourth-best place in California to put down roots.

Fremont in the San Francisco Bay Area ranked as the overall best place to raise a family. Overland Park, Kansas, ranked second, followed by Irvine in Orange County, which claimed the third spot.
