San Diego Among Best Places To Raise A Family: Study

SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego is one of the best places to raise a family, according to a new study.

The personal finance website WalletHub looked at the best and worst places to raise a family, and America's Finest City ranked as the eighth-best place in the country and the fourth-best place in California to put down roots.

Fremont in the San Francisco Bay Area ranked as the overall best place to raise a family. Overland Park, Kansas, ranked second, followed by Irvine in Orange County, which claimed the third spot.

WalletHub compared 182 cities based on cost of housing, health and safety, quality of education, socioeconomics, and recreational opportunities.
