San Diego Author Launches Debut Sci-Fi Novel at Comic-Con
After a 2-year hiatus due to COVID, Comic-Con is coming back to the San Diego Convention Center from November 26 to 28.
(San Diego, CA) – After a two-year hiatus due to COVID, Comic-Con International is returning to San Diego. Comic-Con Special Edition will take place from November 26 to 28, 2021 at the San Diego Convention Center.
The finishing touches are still being put on for the official event, but San Diego resident Thomas Mariani already knows that he will have a table in the Artist’s Alley section of the show. It is there that he will officially launch his debut science fiction novel.
Space Faction, which was just released on November 4, is the story of a society in a galaxy far from Earth where war has been raging for years. Tired of the senseless killing, a small group of people bands together to try and end it once and for all. When they are unsuccessful, they decide enough is enough and figure out a way to escape the galaxy and start over. Just like with the author’s favorite show, Star Trek, the message of the book is, “There is always hope, even if things look bleak.”
