SoCal Man Practiced Mass Shooting In YouTube Videos: Reports
Steven Homoki, 30, filmed himself aiming a gun at passersby from the window of his downtown San Diego hotel room, NBC reported.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A San Diego man who filmed himself acting out a mass shooting from a hotel room in downtown San Diego was arrested on weapons charges, according to multiple reports.
Steven Homoki, 30, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possession of an assault weapon, possession of a high capacity magazine and child endangerment, NBC News reported. His arrest came about a week after an unknown tipster told federal authorities that Homoki had "gone off the deep end" and would "open fire on federal agents or police."
According to reports, Homoki used a body-mounted camera to film himself pointing a gun at passersby from his room inside the Sofia Hotel in San Diego, which appeared to be strewn with guns, magazines and bullets.

Homoki was arrested after police found and seized 14 registered firearms, including two assault rifles, from his home in Spring Valley, San Diego County, according to NBC. He was being held on $20,000 bail pending arraignment, scheduled for Monday afternoon.
Police spokesman Lt. Shawn Takeuchi said praised the unnamed tipster who turned Homoki in to authorities.

"This arrest is an example of a community member coming forward with information that posed an immediate threat to San Diegans," Takeuchi said. "The San Diego Police Department would like to thank the community for their shared efforts to keep everyone safe."
