SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diegans looking to stay home or close to home this summer are in luck. San Diego was named among the best cities for staycations in the country, according to a study by WalletHub.

The personal finance website ranked the best and worst cities for staycations in the U.S. America's Finest City was the only city in California that cracked the top 10.

San Diego, which ranked seventh overall, claimed the title for the best staycation spot in California, according to WalletHub. San Francisco, the next California city on the list, ranked No. 24.

Orlando, Florida, ranked as the best city for staycations, while Fremont, California, ranked as the worst.

WalletHub compared 182 of the largest cities in America across 42 key metrics, ranging from parks and museums per capita to restaurant costs.
