San Diego Ranked Among Nation's Top 10 Cities For Downtown Living

SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego is one of the 10 best cities for downtown living, according to a recent ranking from StorageCafe.

The city came in ninth on the list and was the only one in California to crack the top 10.

StorageCafe noted downtown San Diego’s natural sights, shopping, entertainment, and walkability, as well as its 180 electric vehicle chargers.

“For the earth-conscious, about 13% of apartments are included in green-certified buildings, and close to 80% of the local apartment buildings offer access to fitness centers,” according to StorageCafe.

Seattle was the only other West Coast city to be ranked, at fifth on the list. Texas dominated, with Dallas ranked first, Austin coming in second and Houston listed seventh.

To determine the top 10 hotspots for downtown living, StorageCafe ranked the central areas in America’s 30 most-populous cities by factors like cost of living, rental inventory and amenities, safety, food, and shopping. As a storage space marketplace, StorageCafe also included self-storage in its analysis.
