San Diego Restaurant Ranks Among Yelp's Top 100 For 2026

SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego has one of the top restaurants in the country, according to a new ranking.

Yelp has released its list of the Top 100 U.S. Restaurants for 2026, and one San Diego eatery made the cut.

Thanh Tinh Chay in San Diego ranked No. 21 on the list, which was released Wednesday. The vegan Vietnamese restaurant has a 4.9-star rating from more than 1,400 reviews, according to its Yelp listing.

"I just cannot give this place all the praise it deserves!" one Yelp user wrote. "The service is always kind and efficient. The food is always delicious. I have not had a miss yet."

To create the list, the people at Yelp identified businesses in the site's restaurant category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the ratings and total volume of reviews.

The 13th annual list showcases a wide mix of spots across 34 states. Texas leads this year's list with 17 restaurants, followed by California with nine restaurants. New York claims five, all in New York City. Ci Siamo, an Italian restaurant in New York City, earned the top spot on the list.

"Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat shows what happens when real people guide the conversation about restaurants," Tara Lewis, Yelp's trend expert, said in a statement. "By sharing honest reviews and photos, diners have surfaced a mix of cozy neighborhood favorites, brunch and sandwich shops, and unique culinary experiences you won't find on any other list."
