San Diego Team Plays In Little League Intermediate World Series
Scripps Ranch Little League plays Tuesday against Livermore Little League at the Little League Intermediate World Series.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A team from San Diego is representing the West Region in the annual Little League Intermediate 50/70 World Series, which kicked off Sunday in Northern California.
Scripps Ranch Little League defeated Ankeny National Little League of Iowa 7-0 on Sunday during the series at Max Baer Park in Livermore. On Monday, the team failed 5-1 to West Boynton Beach Little League of Florida – but they're not out of the running.
Scripps Ranch Little League plays Tuesday against Livermore Little League, which is representing California District 57 as this year's host team. The game starts at 6 p.m.

Six teams from the United States and six teams from around the world are represented in the Little League Intermediate World Series.
The Intermediate Division began as a two-year pilot program before becoming an official division in 2012. Players ages 11 to 13 are eligible to play in the baseball league, which features a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot bases, also known as "50/70."
