San Diego Teen Hospitalized, Woman Killed In I-10 Crash
CHP officials tell Patch that a San Diego man was driving a white BMW sedan east on the roadway in the slow lane when the crash occurred.

SAN DIEGO, CA — One person is dead and two others hospitalized following an early morning crash on Interstate 10 in Banning, according to fire and CHP officials. The crash happened around 4:15 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, near Hargrave Street.
California Highway Patrol officials tell Patch that a San Diego man was driving a white BMW sedan east on the roadway in the slow lane when the crash occurred.
"For an unknown reason he traveled off of the south edge of the freeway, and hit a tree," the CHP said.
One of the passengers was ejected from the car during the crash, according to fire reports. The CHP said the San Diego woman died at the scene.

Another person, a 16-year-old girl from San Diego, was trapped in the wreckage and had to be cut free, according to reports from the Riverside County Fire Department and the CHP. She was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
The driver suffered moderate injuries and was also hospitalized, according to the CHP.
