San Diego Trainer Neely Launches "Safety-First" Initiative to Combat Gym Anxiety for Women
Ditch 'big-box' gyms. Sweat Society offers a private sanctuary where trust, neurological safety, and expert care replace gym-timidation.

Neely, founder of Sweat Society and a veteran health expert with over 19 years of experience, today announced the launch of her "Safety-First" initiative. This new program is specifically designed to address the growing concern of "gym-timidation" and the high statistics of women who avoid traditional fitness environments due to physical discomfort, fear of injury, or social anxiety.
Operating out of her private Hillcrest studio, Neely is positioning Sweat Society as a "sanctuary" for women who find "big-box" gyms overwhelming or unsafe. The initiative prioritizes a judge-free, distraction-free environment where the focus shifts from aesthetic pressure to functional safety and neurological health.
"The relationship built between a client and their trainer must be based on trust and understanding," says Neely. "When looking for a trainer, it is critical to feel comfortable in the right setting. My studio is built to be a safe space where women can move towards their goals in a positive way without the chaos of a crowded gym".

Bridging the Gap Between Fear and Strength
The "Safety-First" initiative leverages Neely’s unique background as a twice-certified Integrative Health Practitioner and a Posture and Alignment Specialist. Unlike standard personal training, Neely integrates:
- Neurological Muscle Re-education: Utilizing NerveOTX therapy (formerly ARPneuro) to identify the neurological origin of pain and eliminate muscle compensation patterns that often lead to injury.
- Personalized Progressions: Every workout is tailored to a client's specific soreness scale and energy levels, ensuring they are never pushed beyond what is safe for their body.
- A "Whole-Body" Approach: Integrating behavioral psychology to help clients overcome negative associations with exercise and build lasting self-confidence.
A Private Alternative to the "Big-Box" Cycle
Located on University Avenue, the Sweat Society studio offers an appointment-only model that guarantees privacy. This model is designed to support women at various life stages—from those rehabilitating after surgery to beginners who feel "out of shape" and nervous about starting a routine.
