San Diego Woman Seriously Injured In Electric Scooter Crash

The 31-year-old woman was heading west in the 2100 block of Broadway about 6:45 a.m.

SAN DIEGO, CA -- An electric-scooter rider was seriously injured Tuesday in a solo accident on a Golden Hill thoroughfare, San Diego police reported.

The 31-year-old woman was heading west in the 2100 block of Broadway about 6:45 a.m. when she found herself unable to slow down for unknown reasons, Officer Sarah Foster said.

Becoming frightened, she jumped off the scooter and tumbled onto the roadway. Medics took her to a hospital for treatment of a fractured thighbone, Foster said.
