San Diego Zoo Food, Wine And Brew Celebration Returns In September
This year's tasting event will feature bites and sips from more than 100 restaurants, dessert shops, brewers, wineries and other vendors.

SAN DIEGO, CA — The San Diego Zoo Food, Wine and Brew Celebration returns in September, giving animal lovers and zoo supporters a chance to enjoy food and drinks while raising money for wildlife. The annual gala will take place Sept. 23 at the San Diego Zoo.
Organizers said more than 3,000 attendees are expected to attend this year's tasting event, which will feature bites and sips from more than 100 restaurants, dessert shops, brewers, wineries and other vendors. The event will also offer live music, dancing and other activities.
The gala started as Kicks for Critters in 1980. Today, the popular tasting event supports wildlife conservation work in San Diego and worldwide though the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance's eight conservation hubs on six continents.

The San Diego Zoo Food, Wine and Brew Celebration begins at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. at the zoo at 2920 Zoo Drive in San Diego.
General admission tickets cost $150. VIP tickets cost $275 and include hosted food and drinks, VIP-only restrooms, plush lounge furnishings, and special wildlife encounters. Attendees must be at least 21 years old. Children and strollers aren't allowed.
