Scooter Rider Injured In Crash With Toyota Prius In San Diego
San Diego Police Department Traffic Division detectives are investigating the crash, officials said.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A man riding a scooter was seriously injured in a collision with a Toyota Prius in the Hillcrest area Monday evening.
Officers were called to the 1100 block of Washington Street around 8:30 p.m., said San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims.
The man riding the scooter was crossing in the gore point when a Toyota Prius took the Washington Street off-ramp from the northbound Cabrillo (163) Freeway and hit the 41-year-old man, Heims said.

The rider was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, he said.
The driver of the Prius was not injured and San Diego Police Department Traffic Division detectives are investigating the crash, Heims said.
