SANTA ANA, CA — This is the final weekend Southern California families can experience 30 years of bubble magic at Discovery Cube Orange County's Bubblefest — and it's worth the drive from San Diego.

This Patch editor stopped by for the first time this year, and it's easy to see why this 30-year-old tradition has remained a SoCal favorite.

Bubblefest features interactive exhibits exploring the science and art of bubbles, including demonstrations on why bubbles float, shine and display color.
