SDCCU To Host Blood Drives In San Diego County

The drives will take place in the parking lots of San Diego County Credit Union branches in Encinitas, Santee, San Diego and San Ysidro.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — San Diego County Credit Union is slated to host blood drives Wednesday at four locations throughout the San Diego region.

The mobile blood drives are being held for the San Diego Blood Bank, a nonprofit that serves hospitals in San Diego, Imperial, Orange and Los Angeles counties with blood transfusion products and reference laboratory services.

"Due to a critically low inventory of blood, hospital shelves are almost empty, affecting thousands of patients," SDCCU said in a news release. "We need your help — lives depend on it!"
