SAN DIEGO — San Diego State University will hold its fourth annual Day of Giving fundraising event Wednesday to fund student and faculty programs and initiatives.
The online fundraiser garnered more than $275,000 from more than 1,500 donors, according to the university, both record totals since the event began in 2016. This year's fundraiser includes a goal of $250,000. Donors can contribute to more than 20 different categories, including SDSU athletics, various scholarships and the SDSU Alumni Association.
"Our culture of philanthropy is well established here at SDSU," said Alumni Association spokesman Zackary Albrecht. "The annual Day of Giving is a tradition we look forward to each fall as a reaffirmation of support for all the great things the university makes possible."
