SeaWorld Offers Ultimate Shark Experience In Celebration Of Shark Week

SAN DIEGO, CA — In celebration of Shark Week, SeaWorld San Diego is offering shark fin-atics a chance to get up close to sharks with the Ultimate Shark Experience.

The limited-time experience includes a drink and meal, behind-the-scenes tour, opportunities to feed, touch and learn about sharks, front-of-the-line access to the Manta roller coaster, and a shark-themed souvenir.

"SeaWorld is the only place in the world where you can touch a shark, move like a shark, feed a shark, dine like a shark, learn from the sharks, and importantly, help our ocean's sharks at the same time," said Marisa Thalberg, chief marketing and communications officer of SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment.

Tickets went on sale Monday and are valid from July 21-28, during a weeklong celebration of the sharks at SeaWorld San Diego and other SeaWorld parks. There are 21 different species and nearly 300 sharks at the theme parks in San Diego, Orlando and San Antonio, according to SeaWorld.

Tickets cost $199 or $99 for pass holders, plus tax and service fees, with $25 from every ticket going toward shark conservation, according to SeaWorld.
