SeaWorld San Diego To Host First-Ever Pride Week
The weeklong celebration, slated July 19-28, will feature a daily Pride meet up, brunch with LGBTQIA+ stars, specialty merchandise and more.
SAN DIEGO, CA — SeaWorld San Diego is celebrating inclusivity with the theme park's first-ever Pride Week.
The weeklong celebration, slated July 19-28, will feature a daily Pride meet up, brunch with LGBTQIA+ stars, specialty merchandise, food and drinks, a photo op and more. Festivities are included with park admission.
SeaWorld is also slated to participate in the San Diego Pride Festival on July 20 and 21 during San Diego Pride. The park will have an oversized "Love is an Ocean" art coloring mural wall for festival attendees to express creativity and color throughout the day, according to SeaWorld. In addition, SeaWorld will have a colorful photo opp and will distribute stickers and buttons at the event.

These are the in-park activities and offerings during Pride Week at SeaWorld:
- Daily Pride Meet Up: Guests can mix, mingle and meet new people during the daily Pride meet up at 2 p.m. at The Waterfront. The SeaWorld DJ will play music set to the backdrop of Mission Bay.
- Pride Day Lunch: An all-you-eat brunch will take place from 1-3 p.m. on July 28 at Nautilus Pavilion. The brunch will feature a performance by LGBTQIA+ stars. Reservations are recommended.
- Pride Merchandise: SeaWorld is offering a line of all-new Pride swag, including spirit jerseys, shirts, tank tops, hats, cups, tumblers, plush, water bottles and more. Merch will be available at the SeaWorld Store and Discoveries Fresh Market.
- Pride Pins: The theme park will launch four limited-edition Pride pins to kick off the week.
- Food and Beverages: There will be Pride-inspired desserts and drinks, including the Shamu Cookie, cupcakes, churros and a specialty cocktail and mocktail.
- Photo Op: The "Love is an Ocean" colorful backdrop will be located near the park entrance.
- Rainbow Tunnel of Lights: Guests can walk through a music-activated, shimmering rainbow of more thsan 5,000 colorful lights.
