Sesame Place Kicks Off Summer Season With The Return Of Water Attractions, Special Events

The Chula Vista-based theme park reopened its water attractions Friday, bringing back water slides and splash zones for the summer season.

CHULA VISTA, CA — Sesame Place San Diego reopened its water attractions Friday, bringing back water slides and splash zones for the summer season.

The family theme park's seasonal water attractions include The Count's Splash Castle, a multi-level play structure with more than 100 interactive features, Big Bird's Beach, and several water slides, including Ernie's Twisty Turny Tunnels, Bert's Topsy Turvy Tunnels, Snuffy's Spaghetti Slides and Honker Dinger Dash.

In addition to water attractions, guests can enjoy rides such as Super Grover's Box Car Derby and Elmo's Rockin' Rockets, along with character meet-and-greets, the "Welcome to Our Street!" stage show and the Sesame Street Party Parade.

New this summer is the Furry Friends Beach Bash Dance Party, featuring interactive games, music and appearances by Sesame Street characters.

The park also announced several summer events, including Tango's Gotcha Celebration from July 10-12, a National Waterpark Day challenge on July 28, Best Friends Weekend from Aug. 1-2, and B is for Bubbles Weekend from Aug. 7-9.
