Sesame Place San Diego Debuts 'A Very Furry Christmas' Celebration

SAN DIEGO, CA — Christmas has arrived at Sesame Place San Diego.

"A Very Furry Christmas" kicked off Saturday and will run on select dates through Jan. 8 at the theme park in Chula Vista.

The festive event features Sesame Street-style holiday fun with a lineup of shows, character meet-and-greets, and other activities at San Diego's newest theme park. Highlights include the all-new "Elmo's Christmas Wish" show at the Sesame Street Theater, "A Very Merry Sesame Street Sing-Along" at Rosita's Holiday Hills, the Furry Friends Christmas Dance Party on Big Bird's Beach wave pool lawn, and the Sesame Street Christmas Parade throughout the decorated theme park.

Sesame Place San Diego is the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning children's show, "Sesame Street." The 17-acre theme park, which opened in March, features 18 Sesame Street-themed rides and water attractions, an interactive Sesame Street neighborhood, character photo opportunities, a musical play area, shows and a parade.

Sesame Place San Diego is at 2052 Entertainment Circle in Chula Vista. The park, owned by SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, is open on Saturdays and Sundays and select additional dates in November, December and January.
