Shawn Mendes Cancels Remaining Tour Dates, San Diego Show

The singer canceled the 70 remaining shows in his Wonder tour for "some much needed time off" to focus on his mental health.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Shawn Mendes canceled the 70 remaining shows in his tour, including an upcoming concert in San Diego, the singer announced Wednesday.

Mendes had already postponed some shows to prepare for the tour, he said in a social media statement Wednesday. After discussion with his team and mental health professionals, Mendes decided he was still not ready for the tour.

"I started this tour excited to finally get back to playing live after a long break due to the pandemic, but the reality is I was not ready at all for how difficult touring would be after this time away," Mendes said.

The singer said he and his team remain hopeful he could pick up with the tour after some time off, and he will continue making new music.
