Small Brush Fire Sparks Near Plaza Bonita In South Bay
The northbound I-805 ramp to eastbound SR-54 was closed due to the blaze near the right shoulder, according to Caltrans. (BREAKING)

BONITA, CA – Firefighters quickly extinguished a small brush fire Monday morning near Plaza Bonita in the South Bay.
The blaze broke out off Interstate 805 and State Route 54 in Bonita.
The northbound I-805 ramp to eastbound SR-54 was briefly closed as the brush fire was located near the right shoulder, according to Caltrans. Traffic was slowed in the area while firefighters extinguished the flames and mopped up the area.
