This SoCal City Ranked Among Best For Gen Z Grads
Redfin and Glassdoor partnered to rank the best big, medium and small U.S. metro areas for college graduates.
SAN DIEGO — San Diego was recently ranked among the nation’s top large cities for new college graduates.
Redfin and Glassdoor partnered to rank the best big, medium and small U.S. metro areas for graduates based on 13 indicators across career opportunity, housing affordability and urban quality of life.
The best three big cities were Washington, Omaha and Boston, respectively. New Orleans, Palm Bay and Wichita took the top spots in the mid-size category, while Springfield, Illinois, Santa Fe and Panama City were ranked the best small cities.

San Diego came in eighth on the large-city list, between St. Louis at seventh and Miami at ninth.
The Southern California metro offers average early-career earnings of $74,053, according to Redfin, which described San Diego as "one of the country’s biggest biotech hubs" as well as "home to many entry-level positions in industries like healthcare and gaming."
