Spectrum announced a donation of $10,000 to Father Joe’s Villages through the company’s national community philanthropic program, Spectrum Employee Community Grants.

The grant supports Father Joe’s Villages’ Ann's Closet: Warm & Wellness Program, which provides new clothing to individuals experiencing homelessness. This program offers more than physical comfort – it restores dignity and self-respect to people who have lost everything, helping them rebuild their lives.

“Support from partners like Spectrum makes it possible for us to serve more than 2,500 people with basics that many take for granted,” said Monique “Phoenix” Mendiola, Outreach Worker at Father Joe’s Villages. “New clothing provides dignity and empowers our clients to take the next step toward stability.”

Spectrum Community Solutions Customer Service Supervisors, Xavier Allen and Lawrence Batan, nominated Father Joe’s Villages for the employee grant.

“Volunteering at Father Joe’s Villages has shown me how small acts of kindness can make a big difference,” said Xavier Allen, Spectrum Community Solutions Customer Service Supervisor. “This grant is a way to amplify the compassion and support our employees feel for the communities we serve.”

“Working with Father Joe’s Villages connects our company’s values to real change,” said Lawrence Batan, Spectrum Community Solutions Customer Service Supervisor. “We know that helping people meet basic needs is a critical step toward self-sufficiency.”

Spectrum Employee Community Grants have provided funding to more than 600 local nonprofits in 35 states throughout the company’s service area since its inception in July 2019.

Recipients deliver critical social services, helping underserved residents meet basic needs, including food, shelter, clothing, job training and neighborhood safety. Each awardee is nominated by one of the company’s 92,000 U.S.-based employees who has volunteered with the organization for at least one year.

“Through Spectrum Employee Community Grants, we’re proud to provide support to vital community organizations with which our employees are already volunteering their time and talent,” said Keri Askew Bailey, Group Vice President of Government Affairs for Spectrum. “Together, we’re building stronger communities where our customers and employees live and work across the country.”
