'Spelling Bee for Grown Ups' Set for San Diego Central Library

The event is sponsored by the San Diego Press Club and San Diego Public Library Shop.

SAN DIEGO -- Are you a stellar speller? If so, there's an event taking place soon that you may want to participate in.

The San Diego Press Club is partnering with the San Diego Public Library Shop for an exciting “word nerd” event: a “Spelling Bee for Grownups," taking place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 in the Neil Morgan Auditorium at the San Diego Central Library downtown.

Peter Sokolowski, editor at large with Merriam-Webster, will moderate the event, and two judges will join him onstage: San Diego Public Library Director Misty Jones and Grant Barrett of the radio show "A Way with Words."
