Stormtrooper Stationed in Santee!
On May the 4th, Stormtroopers were seen by Cajon Park Elementary.

On Star Wars Day, Santee residents encountered a familiar figure from a galaxy far, far away: stormtrooper FR2187, also known as Nick Phillips, a Santee resident and father, spent the day in full Imperial armor as a member of the 501st Legion.
FR2187 presents as a veteran stormtrooper with a detailed service narrative. His pauldron signifies participation in major galactic conflicts, including the Battle of Kashyyyk and the Battle of Endor. He also claims service aboard both Death Star battle stations, which he describes with a mix of pride and reflection.
Phillips maintained character throughout the event. He described the loss of fellow troopers and framed the destruction of the Death Star as a tragic event from his character’s perspective. The portrayal emphasized an alternative viewpoint within the Star Wars narrative.

He contrasted Imperial life on Mos Eisley with Santee, noting it offers “Way less heat.”
The appearance drew local attention. A sheriff’s deputy stopped to take a photo, and families gathered as children posed for pictures. Phillips engaged attendees while remaining in character.

He also shared trivia, stating the Death Star required approximately 57,000 personnel to operate, while acknowledging variability in fictional records.
