Suspect In False Imprisonment Standoff Arrested In Clairemont Mesa
A suspect in a standoff with police surrendered after about two-and-a-half hours in the Clairemont Mesa neighborhood, police said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A suspect in a standoff with police surrendered after about two-and-a-half hours Friday in the Clairemont Mesa neighborhood, police said.
Someone texted 911 just after 1 a.m. Friday they were being held hostage at an apartment in the 5200 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, said Lt. Adam Sharki of the San Diego Police Department.
Around 3:30 a.m. a person came out safely, the lieutenant said. About 4 a.m., the suspect surrendered to police.

Brandon Grasso was taken into custody and arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and domestic violence, Sharki told OnScene TV. The person being held was not injured, he said.
