Suspect Sought In Attempted Robbery Of San Diego Bank
A man gave a note to a teller that demanded money. He ended up fleeing the bank empty-handed, authorities said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities are seeking the public's help in finding a man who attempted to rob a bank Monday in the Rancho Bernardo community of San Diego.
The man entered the California Bank & Trust at 16796 Bernardo Center Drive at about 4:30 p.m., according to the San Diego FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force and the San Diego Police Department. He gave a note to a teller that demanded money but ended up fleeing the bank empty-handed, authorities said.
The suspect was described as white man in his 30s or 40s. He was between 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a slender build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a light-colored Hawaiian-style shirt over a white shirt, dark pants, tan boots and sunglasses.
