Suspect Sought In Attempted Robbery Of San Diego Bank

The man gave a note to a teller that demanded money, but he did not receive any and left the bank.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities are seeking the public's help in finding a man who attempted to rob a bank Thursday in southeast San Diego.

The man entered the Chase Bank at 4415 Imperial Ave. at about 3:50 p.m., according to the San Diego FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force and the San Diego Police Department. He gave a note to a teller that demanded money, but he did not receive any and left the bank.

The suspect was described as a white man in his late 30s or early 40s. He was thin and about 5 feet, 4 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie with a Tommy Hilfiger logo, jeans, a black face mask, and a black and red baseball cap.
