Suspect Sought By Police In Attempted Perfume Shop Robbery
A man wielding a screwdriver attempted to rob a perfume shop in San Ysidro Thursday but was unable to open its register.

SAN YSIDRO, CA – A man wielding a screwdriver attempted to rob a perfume shop in San Ysidro Thursday but was unable to open its register.
The suspect walked into Sunny Perfumes, 660 E. San Ysidro Blvd., just after 6 p.m. and demanded money from employees, said Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department. He tried opening the register after employees refused to hand him money but was unable to do so, Heims said.
The suspect fled on a bicycle and was last seen headed southbound, Heims said.

The suspect was described as a being in his 40s with a medium build.
