Suspected Gang Member Robs, Stabs Outside Marina-Area Eatery

SAN DIEGO - A suspected gang member robbed and stabbed another man outside a Marina-area restaurant Monday, authorities said.
The thief approached the 30-year-old victim near a set of restrooms at The Tin Fish in the 300 block of Market Street about 6 a.m., pulled a knife, stabbed him in the ribs and stole some belongings from him, according to San Diego police.
The victim was treated for a non-life-threatening wound, Officer Dino Delimitros said.

Patrol officers found the suspect, whose name was not immediately available, in the area a short time later and arrested him on suspicion of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
Police recovered all of the victim's stolen property and returned it to him, Delimitros said.

Gang-unit detectives were called in to investigate the crime.
