Suspicious Death Of Woman In San Diego Under Investigation

Police said homicide detectives were called to investigate because of unusual circumstances surrounding the death.

SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego police are investigating the suspicious death of a 63-year-old woman who was found inside her San Diego apartment Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were called shortly before 2 p.m. to a residence in the 10 block of 17th Street after property management reported finding the woman dead inside her apartment in the East Village neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Police said homicide detectives were called to investigate because of unusual circumstances surrounding the death.

Detectives are working with the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the woman's cause and manner of death. No other details about the circumstances were immediately released.
