Suspicious Parcel Deemed Safe At MCAS Miramar Post Office
The post office received a parcel that was determined to be suspicious around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A suspicious parcel that prompted officials to shut down the post office at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar has been deemed safe.
The post office received a parcel that was determined to be suspicious around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.
"MCAS Miramar First Responders have been alerted and are taking appropriate actions," base spokeswoman Lt. Casey M. Littesy told Patch.

After screening the letter, MCAS Miramar officials found it "did not contain anything harmful."
The post office will resume normal operations Wednesday, officials said.

At approximately 1:45 pm, the MCAS Miramar Post Office identified a letter that was determined to be suspicious. MCAS Miramar First Responders have been alerted and are taking appropriate actions.
