SUV Runs Over Woman Lying In San Diego Parking Lot
The pedestrian was lying in a fetal position on the ground, police said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A woman was seriously injured when she was run over by a SUV in a San Diego parking lot, authorities said.
The collision was reported at 1:52 p.m. Sunday at 920 Cardiff St. in the Jamacha/Lomita area of San Diego, according to the San Diego Police Department.
A 50-year-old woman was driving a black 2010 Chevrolet Equinox through a parking lot aisle when she ran over a woman who was lying in a fetal position on the ground, police said. Investigators said the driver did not see the pedestrian.

The woman, believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, was rendered unconscious and suffered collapsed lungs, as well as multiple fractures to her spine and ribs, police said. The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police were investigating the collision. Officials said drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash.
