Tips Sought On Thief Who Broke Into 3 Vehicles In Mission Valley

SAN DIEGO — Authorities reached out to the public Tuesday for help in identifying a thief who broke into three vehicles at a Mission Valley parking garage just over a month ago.

A surveillance camera captured footage of the thief shining a flashlight into several vehicles in the garage at 2220 Camino de la Reina between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Aug. 16 before smashing the windows of three vehicles and stealing various items, according to San Diego police.

The man, who had a medium build and glasses with dark frames, was wearing a black T-shirt with a white image on the front, blue jeans, black and white tennis shoes and carrying a backpack.

Anyone with information was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 or contact the agency online at sdcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
