Try San Diego's Official Craft Beer

The Bay City Brewing Co. and San Diego Tourism Authority have teamed up to launch "72 and Hoppy."

SAN DIEGO, CA – San Diego, which is known for its craft brewing industry, has become the first U.S. travel destination with an "official beer."

The Bay City Brewing Co. and San Diego Tourism Authority teamed up to launch "72 and Hoppy." The session IPA, a pale ale, is described as relaxed and refreshing, but vibrant and full of flavor.

According to the SDTA, the beer captures the spirit of San Diego in a pint glass and will be available at local bars, restaurants, hotels and attractions.

San Diego has more operating breweries than any other region in the United States, according to a recent study by Cushman and Wakefield. Bay City Brewing has operated its facility in San Diego's Midway District for more than two years.
