Vegetation Fire Prompts Evacuation Warning In Rancho Santa Fe
Cal Fire said high-voltage power lines are in the area.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A vegetation fire prompted an evacuation warning Wednesday afternoon in the Rancho Santa Fe community of San Diego.
The blaze, called the Knolls Fire, sparked off Santa Fe Knolls Lane, according to Cal Fire. As of 2:17 p.m., the fire had burned 3 to 4 acres. Crews stopped forward progress of the flames by 2:52 p.m.
High-voltage power lines are in the area, Cal Fire said.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department issued an evacuation warning for residents in the area.
"An evacuation warning prepares people for a potential evacuation order," a message from Alert San Diego said. "Vulnerable populations such as people with disabilities, people with access or functional needs, and/or large animals should leave now."

A temporary evacuation point was established at 4S Ranch Sports Park at 16118 4S Ranch Parkway.
No structural damage or injuries were reported.
