SAN DIEGO, CA — A vegetation fire sparked Thursday afternoon amid soaring temperatures in San Diego County.
The blaze, called the Crosley Fire, was reported at 11:48 a.m. near Highway 79 and Crosley Truck Trail in northern San Diego County, bordering Riverside County, according to Cal Fire.
The fire scorched 2 acres before crews halted the flames, officials said.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
