Victim Of Fatal La Mesa Traffic Accident ID'd

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities have publicly identified a traffic- accident victim who died this week, just over a month after a motorcycle struck him as he was crossing a street in his eastern San Diego-area hometown.

Tony Moore, 65, was pronounced dead at Sharp Memorial Hospital early Tuesday morning, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office.

Moore was hit by the two-wheeler at El Cajon Boulevard and Jessie Avenue in La Mesa at about 12:45 p.m. on Feb. 22, the county agency reported.

A ruling on the cause of his death remains on hold pending completion of postmortem examinations, according to the medical examiner.
