SAN DIEGO, CA — Winnie-the-Pooh isn't the only bear who loves honey.

A mother bear and her cubs recently enjoyed the sticky treat at the San Diego Zoo. Alba the Andean bear and her two cubs were treated to a multi-day honeycomb experience at the zoo, which included bee sounds, flower scents and honey.

The honey was delivered in "hives" that were created with gourds and honeycomb harvested on the San Diego Zoo's grounds by the entomology department. The gourds were hung around the habitat to mimic beehives that Andean bears would find in the wild.
