Wind Gusts Up To 65 MPH Possible For San Diego Mountains, Deserts: NWS

SAN DIEGO, CA — Gusty winds are expected this week in portions of San Diego County.

A wind advisory is in effect until 11 p.m. Friday for the San Diego area deserts and mountains.

West winds from 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are expected, according to the National Weather Service.

"Winds each day will be strongest in the afternoon and evening," NWS San Diego forecasters said.

Forecasters warned gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could also be blown down.
