Storm Forces Road, Park Closures Across San Diego County
See a list of road, park and other closures in the San Diego region.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Road, park and other closures were already in place Thursday as the first of two back-to-back winter storms reached the San Diego region.
The first storm was expected to bring widespread rain, possible flash floods, gusty winds and mountain snow Thursday through Friday, according to the National Weather Service. After a break in the rain Saturday, another storm was expected to arrive early next week.

BUSINESSES
- Angry Pete's Pizza at Santee Lakes was closed Thursday.
- SeaWorld San Diego was closed Thursday due to the rain. The theme park was expected to reopen Friday.
PARKS

- All National City parks were closed Thursday until further notice.
- Del Dios Highlands County Preserve: The staging area was closed.
- Harmony Grove Equestrian Park: The staging area was closed.
- Live Oak County Park: The leash-free dog area was closed.
- Los Penasquitos Canyon County Preserve: The staging area and trails were closed.
- Los Penasquitos Ranch House: The staging area, grounds and trails were closed.
- Lusardi Creek County Preserve: Creek access was closed.
- Ramona Grasslands County Preserve: The staging area was closed.
- San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve: Annie's Canyon Trail and La Orillia Trailhead were closed.
- Santa Ysabel Nature Center: The center was closed for a construction project.
- Santa Margarita County Preserve: The staging area and creek crossing/access were closed.
- Sweetwater Bike Park was fully closed, including the staging area and all tracks.
- Tijuana River Valley Regional Park: All trails were closed.
ROADS
Encinitas
- As of 1:51 p.m. Thursday, the Vulcan Avenue and Union Street intersection was blocked off due to flooding.
- As of 1:51 p.m. Thursday, the 600 block of Orpheus Avenue at Puebla Street and Hymettus Avenue was blocked off due to flooding.
Lakeside
- As of 11:51 a.m. Thursday, Wildcat Canyon Road was closed from Willow Road to Barona Casino. An AT&T pole was down at Muth Valley Road.
Oceanside
- As of 8:11 a.m. Thursday, the El Camino Real on-ramp to eastbound SR-78 was closed.
Spring Valley
- As of 9:19 a.m. Thursday, Quarry Road was closed between SR-125 to Lakeview Drive.
San Diego
- As of 1 p.m. Thursday, the following roads were closed:
- 10800 block of San Diego Mission Road.
- Sorrento Valley Road at Carmel Mountain Road.
- 11100 Roselle Street.
- 6000 Carroll Road.
- 2800 Hollister Street.
- Saturn Boulevard at Sunset Avenue.
- 47th Street from Castana to Nogal streets.
- Ward Road between Camino Del Rio and Rancho Mission Road.
- 900 Fashion Valley Road.
- Pacific Beach Drive and 4100 Noyes Street.
- As of 1 p.m. Thursday, the following areas were flooded:
- Aero Drive at Sandrock Road.
- Convoy Street at Dagget Street.
- 15400-15600 Old Milky Way.
- 13500 Highland Valley Road.
- 4600 Landis Street.
- 2500 Hotel Circle Place.
- Mission Boulevard at Reed Avenue.
- North Mission Bay freeway ramp at I-5.
- 500 Sea World Drive (westbound No. 2 and No. 3 lanes).
- 2500 Grand Avenue (eastbound No. 1 lane).
- 8500 Gilman Drive (southbound).
- Olney Street and Pacific Beach Drive.
- 14200 San Dieguito Road (westbound lanes).
- 6900 Imperial Avenue.
- 6800 Imperial Avenue.
- 4500 Logan Avenue.
- As of 10:54 a.m. Thursday, Campania Avenue was closed from Castello Circle to Camino San Thomas in the 4S Ranch area due to flooding.
- As of 7 p.m. Wednesday, the following roads were closed in the Southcrest community:
- Vesta Street between Birch and Acacia streets.
- Delta Street at Acacia Street.
- Gamma Street between South 38th and South 39th streets.
- South 37th Street between Acacia Grove Way and Boston Avenue.
- South 38th Street between Acacia Street and Boston Avenue.
- Acacia Grove Way at Silktree Terrace.
- Z Street at 39th Street.
- As of 7 p.m. Wednesday, the following roads were closed in the Encanto community:
- The following roads were closed between Akins and Brooklyn avenues: Iona Drive, 60th Street, 61st Street, 62nd Street, 63rd Street, Stork Street, 64th Street, 65th Street, 66th Street, 67th Street and 68th Street.
- Akins Avenue between Iona Drive and San Altos Place.
- 68th and 69th streets between Madrone and Imperial avenues.
- Jamacha Road between 68th and Flicker streets.
- Pidgeon Street between Lisbon Street and Imperial Avenue.
- San Diego River crossing status:
- Riverwalk between Avenido del Rio and Hazard Center Drive.
- Avenida del Rio between Riverwalk and Camino de la Reina.
- Fashion Valley Road between Riverwalk and Camino de la Reina.
- Camino de la Reina between Avenida del Rio and Camino de la Siesta.
