Woman Found Shot To Death In Bonita

BONITA, CA — A woman was found dead in a cul-de-sac during patrol duties in Bontia, deputies said Thursday.

Around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, a San Diego County Sheriff's Department deputy found a woman with a gunshot wound near the street at the end of Quarry Road, according to a release. The victim was reported dead by police on the scene.

No other information was released as the Sheriff Department's Homicide Unit continued the investigation.
