SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A Sacramento man was arrested Sunday after police say he left behind a "large amount" of drugs in a rideshare on Sunday afternoon.

Police say a rideshare driver flagged down officers along Turk Street, near the Tenderloin station, around 2:09 p.m. after a passenger left a backpack filled with drugs behind.

Officers searched the bag and found methamphetamine inside, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

They then set up a sting with the help of the rideshare driver to help lure the suspect back, authorities said.

The driver contacted the suspect regarding the backpack and arranged to return it to a motel where they had been staying, authorities said.

At the motel, officers arrested 41-year-old Sacramento resident Jessie Ottman-Combs on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and transportation or sale of methamphetamine, police said.

After searching the hotel room where the suspect was staying, officers found more drugs, police said. Police added that between the drugs found in the rideshare and the hotel, they seized a total of 355.7 grams of methamphetamine.

The case remains active, police said. Police ask that anyone with more information contact the agency at 415-575-4444.
