SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A backpack containing a large amount of methamphetamine left in a rideshare vehicle over the weekend led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man at a San Francisco motel, police said Tuesday.
Officers were flagged down about 2:10 p.m. Sunday in the first block of Turk Street by a rideshare driver, who told them that a passenger left behind a backpack with suspected narcotics, San Francisco police said in a news release.
After finding suspected methamphetamine in the backpack, officers worked with the driver to return the backpack to the passenger at a local motel.
Officers arrested Sacramento resident Jessie Ottman-Combs, and during a search of his room they allegedly found two cell phones, two tablets and drug paraphernalia.
A total 355.7 grams of methamphetamine was allegedly seized, police said.
Ottman-Combs was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and transportation or sale of meth.
