SAN FRANCISCO, CA — At least three people were hospitalized following a police pursuit that started near Dolores Park and ended with a crash at an Audi dealership along South Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco, according to multiple news reports.
Nine total were injured in the crash, according to NBC. Three were hospitalized, including two in critical condition, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Police say the driver of a car filled with multiple people was driving erratically around 8 p.m. near Dolores Park, according to the reports.
The officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver kept going until they crashed into the showroom of an Audi dealership at 14th Street and South Van Ness Avenue, according to the reports.
Video posted by the San Francisco Fire Departmenyt Sunday night shows a wrecked truck on the opposite side of the road. Debris litters the ground as authorities walk through the scene. A black sedan can be seen on a sidewalk between a traffic pole and the Audi showroom.
The driver of the car was detained, along with four other people, according to NBC. It's unclear whether they were taken into custody, and if so, on what potential charges.
