Raccoon Lived Inside SF Apartment Wall For Months, Gave Birth To Litter: Report

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Two San Francisco roommates were lying down inside their apartment when they suddenly heard someone inside their home, well inside their walls to be exact, according to an ABC7 report.

The roommates say a pregnant raccoon scurried its way into their apartment unit's wall, where she lived for two months before giving birth to a litter of masked bandits, according to the report.

"The sound just kept getting more and more intense, just like a horror movie would, and I couldn't sleep," Isaac Brodkin, one of the tenants, said. "So I moved into the living room to sleep there."

For nearly two months, Brodkin and his roommate lived with the raccoons in their walls, according to the report, fearing that one day they could break in.

Then, as the tenants were moving out of the apartment in June, an exterminator opened up the wall to remove the animals, prompting the mother raccoon to fall through the wall and die, according to the report.

The baby raccoons made it out, according to the report, but it is unclear where they are today.
